Astrology has become a popular hobby amongst the general population. Even though it may seem somewhat of a superstitious habit, astrology is an outlet for indirect answers to questions and possible insight to the future. There are many different types of astrology, based on different cultures and time periods. Nadi astrology is an ancient form of practice from the village of Tamil Nadu in India.
Nadi astrology dates back over 2,000 years ago and is known as a miraculous concept. The Nadi astrology is rooted in the belief that thousands of years ago, the Nadi sages had predicted the past, present and future of thousands of people. When they would have these predictions, the Nadi astrologers would write their readings on palm leaves in the ancient Tamil language, called Vatteluttu. These readings were so frequently accurate that Nadi astrology is still practiced and followed by the Tamil Nadu people today.
So how does Nadi astrology really work? The Nadi astrologists have a rather complicated process in forming readings. First, the astrologer begins by taking a thumbprint of the participant. The astrologist then takes this thumbprint and tries to match it to the collection of palm leaves. After finding which few are the closest matches, the astrologist brings the matching palm leaves back to the participant and asks the participant a list of questions. These questions consist of the verses corresponding to each leaf and can only be answered with yes or no. After the participant is done with the questionnaire, it will be apparent which leaf corresponds. The astrologer then takes the palm leaf and reads off the participant's name, family's names and spouse's name.
The reading starts with 12 chapters called Kandams. Some of the topics the participant will gain insight about are family, friends, marriage, house, money and education. The interesting concept of Nadi astrology is that sometimes, the astrologers will offer more than one path for the participants.
The Nadi astrology readings can be recorded on cassettes for the participants to keep. In addition, the astrologists will ask the participants to bring a notebook with them, where the astrologists will write down all the prophecies with extensive clarification. This is solely done for the participants reference when trying to understand the cassette, or perhaps for correlating the results to something will happen to them in the future. Nadi astrology also consists of planetary charts, which are created for each person when they receive their Nadi astrological readings. The planetary charts are something the participant can take home for reference as well.
Nadi astrology may sound questionable, but the astrologers provide immense proof when reading the basic information from the selected palm leaf. There is no set price as to how much Nadi astrology readings cost, but it is important to make sure the astrologists are professional, because it is not cheap. Nadi astrology is now becoming a popular form of the ancient art in today's world. For more information on Nadi astrology, please visit nadi-astrology.org.
